As a first time home buyer, I couldn't have been more pleased or happy with my experience working with Barry Schmitt and the Howard Hanna Team. I interviewed 3 other real estate agents to help me find and purchase my first home.  After listening to the other agents feign interest or worse, go on and on about themselves and cite their statistics and accomplishments; I was elated to hear Barry ask me questions, making our initial conversation all about me and my needs and wants and how he could help me find my home.  From that moment, I knew there was no one else better suited for the job.  

Barry is a meticulously detailed and high-caliber real estate professional who cares very much for the clients he serves and delivers on everything he commits to doing.  He has the unique ability to make you feel as if you are his only client and he was always available for questions and to visit homes.  When my Mom in Pittsburgh had commercial Real Estate questions about a property she owns, Barry was more than willing to assist her, personally calling her and putting her in touch with an agent he trusted and could also give the same level of service.  To this day when I happen to run into him, he always asks how my mom is doing.  

Most importantly, Barry listened to what I had to say and always responded accordingly, looking out for my best interests and needs.  We never went to a house that didn't meet my criteria and I never felt like I was being taken to a listing I didn't want to see.  When I said something, even in passing, he listened, remembered and acted upon it.   

Barry guided me through what I thought was going to be a very daunting, overwhelming and scary process, walking me through every step of the way.  The entire experience from offer to close was pleasant and nothing like I expected, which was a very good thing.   His expertise in this field and negotiating is outstanding and his patience is commendable.  Real Estate isn't a career or job for Barry, its a passion.

When you work with Barry, you're not just getting a more than qualified Real Estate professional, you gain a friend.  Without a doubt, he is my Realtor for life and I can't recommend a more qualified or personable individual to help you find or sell a home.
